Rubenius' team researched the elements of Mediterranean architecture and design in order to include them in the project. The café is painted in a bright yellow hue that complements the café's rustic natural wood furnishings. The classic blue comes from the houses on Mykonos, which also symbolise the sea. Moroccan tiles, arched doors and windows, stucco wall and ancient street signboards, spice bottles, and ceramic tableware abound in the room. Any themed environment bears the risk of emulating the aesthetic vision of the style from which it is derived.
