Rasa is UK based south Indian organic restaurant chain which brings the taste of authentic, home-cooked southern Indian food to the UK. As this is the first restaurant of Rasa in India it got its own speciality in terms of the interior as well as the ‘south Indian dosa’. The focal point of this place is the heavenly feel of the fabric treatment on the false ceiling. The rustic tone of the flooring tiles, handmade bamboo chairs for dining and rubberwood finished furnishings bringing a Mediterranean taste of look and feel all over. Another special attraction is the ‘tea samovar’ – a traditional Kerala styled tea making equipment. The open kitchen was the customer can see the way the dish is prepared until its served on the table. Deduction of pink to accommodate teal and turquoise to a certain extent making Rasa India stand special from other rasa restaurants. The main challenge was to achieve the false ceiling, numerous trials and demos done to achieve this tranquil ambience as it’s a joint venture for Rubenius and paddy field creative.
